I grew up in St. John, Indiana and have served the northwest Indiana community for over 20 years. Met my husband in a bar—who’d have thought— and we’ve been married for 11 years now! We’ve got two boys, a dog, and two fish. Our weekends are often full of soccer games, though we find plenty of time to get together with family and friends too.
I think part of what makes me unique as a person is my energy. I love to focus on what’s going right and seeing the silver lining in any situation.
I specialize in two areas: hair cuts and scalp massages. Over the years, I’ve realized that one of my biggest strengths is really capturing the shapes of the haircuts my clients ask for. It’s important as a hair stylist to be able to visualize an outcome before we proceed and I’m able to do that for my clients. I’ve seen the combo of a fresh haircut and revitalizing scalp massage turns my clients’ day around! They walk out with a smile on their face and a strut in their step. For my clients who have textured hair but prefer a daily straight style, the keratin straightening service helps cut out at least 15 minutes from their daily at-home styling routine. Time is precious for all of us so getting back more time in the morning is a huge win!
When my clients sit in my chair, they know I’ll always ask plenty of questions about what THEY want out of their experience with me. What is THEIR life like? How much time do they spend styling their hair at home each day? What kind of schedule can they commit to so their haircut always looks great? I often find myself overexplaining…only to see their face, smiling and looking back at me saying, “Yep, do it if that’s what you recommend! I trust you!”
